Keynote Speakers & Seminar Presenters
Russell Burrill was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts of Baptist parentage, becoming an Adventist in his late teens through the ministry of the Voice of Prophecy. He is married to Cynthia Hartman, and has two grown children, both working for the church. From 1985-2007, Russell was Director of the North American Division Evangelism Institute, and also served as Ministerial Secretary for NAD. He has taught at the Andrews University Theological Seminary, where he held the faculty rank of Professor. Since his retirement in July 2007, he has been Professor Emeritus of Evangelism and Church Growth.
Anthony WagenerSmith is Associate Director at the NAD Evangelism Institute and Professor of Christian Ministry at the SDA Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He pastored and planted churches in the Florida Conference, has a doctorate in Missional Church Planting, and equips people and organizations to develop mission-shaped support systems..
Andres Flores Being a native of Mexico City, Andrés learned to love urban contexts. While in the United States he has served most of his ministry in the city of Chicago with the Illinois Conference reaching urban young adults. He and his wife Janette planted Epic Church in 2012 which is in the process of launching a second campus in the city of Lombard, IL in October 2017. Andres’ passion is to help Urban millennials grow as leaders and disciple-makers. He holds a Masters of Divinity from the Andrews University Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership from the same University.
Peter Casillas was born in Doylestown, Pa., raised in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico and is the youngest of eight children. Peter holds a B.A. in Theology from Antillian Adventist University and an MDiv. from Andrews University. Currently, Casillas serves as the Potomac Conference Associate Director for Evangelism and Church Planting. His passion is not only sharing the Jesus message but meeting people where they are in hopes that they may see the beauty of God. He’s active in missions and community partnerships, and his hobbies include hiking, biking, mountain biking, snowboarding and diving. But, his favorite is making friends.
Scott Grisswald is an experienced missionary with over 15 years in Cambodia. Scott, is the Associate Director for the ASAP Ministries in Berrien Springs, Michigan. In 2017 Scott and his family chose to relocate to Houston, Texas where he is currently running a Reach The World Next Door training center for developing and training leaders to work with refugee groups in North America and around the globe. Scott is an inspirational presenter who has a heart for helping those away from home discover the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Pastor Edwin Frank Regalado padre de dos hijos, original del Perú donde desarrolló su ministerio por 18 años, asumiendo la responsabilidad de Capellán de Colegio, Pastor Distrital, Director de Grupos Pequeños, Plantío de iglesia y Evangelismo, y presidente de dos Conferencias. En la parte académica tiene una Maestría en Administración y Liderazgo Pastoral y en agosto del 2017 obtuvo el doctorado en Ministerios Pastorales en la Universidad de Andrews. Desde Noviembre del presente año, se desempeña como Pastor de la Iglesia Adventista de Alvarado y Cleburne Spanish.

Boyan Levterov was born and grew up during communism in the home of a pastor in the country of Bulgaria. Currently he is the lead pastor of Crosswalk Fellowship and the Texas Conference Church Planting Director. Boyan's passion is working with unchurched young adults in urban area. During the last 4 years he has overseen the planting of 50+ churches in the Texas conference, one of the leading conferences in church multiplication. Boyan has his Master of Divinity and Masters in Business Administration degrees from Andrews University and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry program in Leadership. Boyan is blessed to have his wife, Viara and his kids Nathalie and Timmy partnering in ministry with him.
Paul LeBlanc has pastored the Valley View District of Adventist churches in San Antonio, Texas for three years. His ministry extends for over 30 years. In it, he has planted in Indiana and Texas and continues to coach lay led plants. His passion for planting and coaching continues as he coordinates English church planting in the San Antonio District of the Texas Conference.
Marc Lien Pastor Marc loves to encourage people by helping them embrace the benefits of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Two years ago he started Adventist Christian Fellowship, a new church plant in San Antonio, Texas where he lives with his wife Danielle and their children, Megan and Isaiah.
Krystle Thurston-Berry has worked in Marketing and Communications for over 25 years. Born and raised in Nassau, The Bahamas, she was an Art Director at an Advertising Agency when she left in 1992 to further her education in Florida. Since then, she has worked in Marketing and Communications for several US corporations. Over the years, she was instrumental in introducing emerging technology into the marketing departments of several of these companies. She feels blessed to have been a part of the digital movement towards the current technological age and firmly considers her knowledge and ability as God-given talents to be used in His service. The former owner of Krystle Klear Design in Frisco Texas, she believes that no one or thing is too lowly or lofty to be drafted and used in service to the Kingdom. Krystle loves to employ technological innovation in spreading the good news of the gospel. As the current Marketing team lead at Crosswalk Fellowship, Krystle is fond of repurposing what is successfully used in corporate America for the purpose of the kingdom. Outside of the ministry, she works as a Marketing Digital Content Specialist at a multinational REIT. She is the mom of 2 teenagers – a girl and a boy – who is each learning to bring their own unique talents to ministry.
Otron Varona A serial entrepreneur, Orton has created, launched and guided multiple award winning ventures in the retail and commercial real estate development industries. With a reputation of assembling outstanding teams and understanding consumer trends in 2008 Varona was named by Texas Monthly magazine as one of “35 People Who Will Shape Our Future.” Initially getting involved in Adventist Education leadership as a local board chair in 2007, Varona participated in the launch of North Dallas Adventist Academy. Since 2012 Orton is serving as NDAAs first Head of School. Under his leadership since 2007 NDAA has opened a new campus, expanded it’s base of supporting Churches from 2 to 15 and God has blessed NDAA with 10 consecutive years of enrollment growth. Standing on God’s blessing of growth, this year the school working closely with the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and moved to a new multi-purpose 160,000 square foot facility with a plan to house in it multiple mission focused community centered ministries. Orton and Cherisse Varona are the parents of two children, Audrey 14 and Orton Jr. 11. “Participating in God’s growth plans is without question the purpose of my life.” says Varona.
Robin Lopez is the Spanish Church Planting Area coordinator of the San Antonio Area of the Texas Conference and is the pastor of the Durango Seventh-day Adventist Church in San Antonio, Texas. In the past 4 years he has planted two churches in the San Antonio area and is currently working on building a leadership team for the next Spanish church plant in Converse, Texas. Robin is blessed to have his wife Michelle as his parter in the mission work they do in their district and in the state of Texas.
